Rhonda: Hi, I sure hope y’all are doing well. This is Rhonda with Kentucky SPIN. We just want to come to you and share some exciting news that we have. We are so very grateful, to announce that the U.S. Department of Education has refunded, Kentucky SPIN to be the parent training and information project for the state of Kentucky for five more years.

We are so indebted to this opportunity to be able to continue to bring great services, look at new and innovative ways to really help all families and continue our over 30 years to keep adding to that as the parent training and information project for Kentucky. So I just wanted to let everybody know.

And also too, we’ve got some more good news, is we have just launched on our website, a newly updated COVID page to make things, because there’s so much information and wonderful guidance that’s come from the U.S Department of Education, the Kentucky Department of Education and information on a whole variety of things related to COVID.

So we wanted to make it easier for you to navigate, but still be able to access the important information that you need. So you can go to our website www.kyspin.com and you’ll see right on the home screen that you will see the coronavirus, the COVID image you can click right there to access our page.

And also too, more good news. So, I’m so excited that we have also made it easier, we have such a wonderful wealth of webinars and videos that we’ve done, we’ve hosted with a lot of great partners participating and we have updated and made it easier too. For our video library, you can access that from our COVID page as well, but then we also have, if you go under resources on the website. There’s a nice, beautiful breeze. I’m loving it y’all. So you go on our website, if you go under resources, you could click webinars, videos. The quick links that you’ll find throughout our website, that’s always over there too. Or on our home page you’ll see where you can click under the image of the COVID, where you can click right to the video webinar library.

So we’ve got a great search feature on that as well. There’s tons of information you can search by topics and you’ll see some categories. But we’re so excited and again, as always, the transcripts are there and you can turn on the closed captioning.

And also too, I’m almost done. Is that we have also launched on our website. You will see on any page that you go to, whether you’re on a laptop, desktop computer, or on your phone, you are going to see an icon of blue, which is the disability icon that you normally will see. You know, of the person you said with the wheelchair that indicates a new accessibility feature too. And I almost lost y’all but, the breeze I’m loving it though.

Is if you click on that, not only have we enhanced our website for the experience for all persons, whether you have a disability or not, there are some extra features now with this accessibility, if you click on that. And say, if you happen to have seizures, you can turn off anything on a website that would automatically, if there be flickers.

Another one too is for ADHD or areas sometimes, it’s hard for me to like concentrate on like certain areas you can turn on in that feature and you’re going to see a whole menu of things that you can turn on an access to customize your experience. And that enables regardless of the disability for it to be accessible.

So we are so very grateful to continue looking at new, different ways. And please let us know how we can help. You’ll see on our website, we’ve got an 800 number.

We hope you all are all doing well. Take care now and we’ll talk soon. Have a great day. Bye bye.
