[00:00:00] Rhonda: I hope you all are doing okay. I’m Rhonda with Kentucky SPIN and we wanted to come on in to share with you, I know many have been affected by the tornadoes that came through Friday night.

[00:00:15] And we started Saturday, getting together with SPIN staff, volunteering and trying to figure out how we can all help.

[00:00:23] I can tell you we’re all individuals with disabilities and, or immediate family members working for SPIN, and we want to help the best that we can. One of, I live 30 minutes from Bowling Green. And one of our staff lives right in Mayfield that was affected. Thankfully they are okay. But many are not.

[00:00:51] So we want you to know that we are here to help, in any way that we possibly can. And if we don’t have the services or support that you need, we want to work to connect you with who does.

[00:01:05] We have an 800 number that’s in the description and our email address. There’s an online form if you need individual assistance to complete.

[00:01:14] We’ve also included in the description, and if you could, please, if you have been affected by the tornado or you are close to someone who has been affected, please let us know and complete this needs assessment because I know as a family and many of the rest of us we may have needs and when there is a disability involved that many do not consider unless you are living it.

[00:01:44] And not that anyone has any ill intention, but we want to know what you are finding is your immediate needs, so we can try to help any way we can.

[00:01:56] Also too, we have so many wonderful statewide partners and agencies that we work with. And we want to connect you to those and to those resources.

[00:02:07] I know too, not just for right now, we are looking at it at Kentucky SPIN. How can we help one another? Because this is not going to be just something in a week or two. This is going to be all of us working together over quite a long amount of time and how we can help.

[00:02:25] So please reach out to us. Share the information with others that you know, that may be affected. Please, let us know what you’re seeing as your immediate needs.

[00:02:35] We’re also in the process of working on multiple things. Resources, to be able to share, all types of different things. You know, we may, we’re small, but mighty, you know, trying to come up with different things that might assist as you go through this journey.

[00:02:53] But please know that the one thing that I do know is no matter who you are or where you’re from, you are our people here in Kentucky and we are here to help and any way that we can. Yes, we all have limited resources, but we all have a way and a thing that we could do to help one another.

[00:03:19] So if you’ve not been affected by it, see how you can help. What do you have, that, and your gift of how you would be able to help?

[00:03:29] So love to you all. We’ll all be talking soon. Bye bye now.
