| Hi, hope all is well. As a new school year begins, one of the most important things we can do for our children is build strong relationships with their school team. Families know their children in ways no one else does—their strengths, dreams, challenges, and what helps them thrive. Families also bring deep knowledge, lived experience, and an irreplaceable perspective on how their children learn and grow. When families and educators join forces, combining their unique strengths and insights, we create a much stronger team around our child. Partnership starts with communication. Share your child’s strengths, ask questions, listen, celebrate successes, and address concerns early. We may not always agree, but approaching conversations with kindness, respect, and a willingness to understand one another can make a difference. Families are important and equal members of their child’s educational team. As we head back to school, let’s begin the year by building bridges between families and schools. Here’s to a new school year filled with strong partnerships, new possibilities, and success for our children! With Love, Rhonda Logsdon |
